A very pale and tired Bulut Akacan appeared in court on Tuesday facing a judge regarding the allegations against him that he was running an illegal online betting scheme.
Bussinesman Bulut Akacan was remanded by the Girne District Court for a further 8 days in police custody regarding the ongoing investigation on illegal online betting.
Mr Akacan and 8 of his personnel were brought to the court by police officers, where judge listened to the investigation officers findings. The investigating officer said that they went through the accounts of Dobrabet and Kalebet and it seems that their annual turnover was around 39 Million Turkish Liras.
Bulut Akacan and well known businessman, has been in Police custody for the total of 12 days and with the new remand order he will remain in custody for 20.
He is also on bail for GBH charges in an incident where he and his bodyguards allegedly attacked two individuals.
