Government sends messages to the south, from Lefke
As part of a new government initiative, the TRNC cabinet is vitising districts inorder to brief residents, exchange thoughts and ideas about the ongoing projects the PM Office announced. Prime Minister Tatar, cabinet members and several MPs of National Unity and Peoples Party participated the first meeting at Lefke Thursday afternoon.
In his opening speech Prime Minister Tatar informed the residents of Lefke about the ongoing projects prepared by the government and also underlined the importance of exchanging views particularly about the problems faced by the the residents in the area.
Meanwhile, Tatar also gave detailed information to the participants about the recent developments on the Cyprus issue. He stressed that his cabinet believed that alternatve methıds and models had to come into play regarding the Cyprus talks.
Aslo speaking at the event Deputy Prime Minister Kudret Özersay said that the coalition government with UBP was working productively and in harmony. Ozersay underlined that this harmony was mainly based on the common ideals on fıreign Policy.
Expressing his views on the opening the Varosha under the control of Turkish Cypriot administration, Ozersay said that the government was taking challenging steps in order to change the game in the Cyprus talks.
Ozersay said that the necessary actions will be taken in total coordination with Turkey and they will not let the attempts of Greek Cypriot administration to solely take the advantage from the natural resources around the island.
