22nd of Büyükkonuk (Komi Kebir) Eco Tourism Festival organized with the main sponsorship of Telsim, Association of Büyükkonuk Eco Tourism and Slow Food Komi Kebir starting tomorrow morning at the village square. however a social media post by President Mustafa Akinc isaying that he would not attend the event caused social media row.

Related with the traditional Eco Tourism Festival that has been gathering thousands every year at Büyükkonuk, Mayor Ahmet Sennaroğlu said that the visitors will have a great time throughout the day along with a fruitful program organized by the festival team.
President Mustafa Akinci said that he would not attend despite his love to the people of Buyukkonuk. 
Mr Akinci's reaction based on the history between the Mayor and the President after the attacks on Afrika Newspaper and the Mayor supporting the culprits. 

The mayor Ahmet Sennaroğlu said that he wanted to apologise to the President last year however he couldnt get an appointment.

Mayor Sennaroğlu noted that the festival aims to keep alive the old traditional activities that sinking into oblivion, Sennaroğlu mentioned that many traditional activities and games will take place on the festival. Sennaroğlu also added that all catering foods on the festival prepared in accordance of hygiene rules within the control of Chamber of Food Engineers.
