The Trade Union Platform has announced that Ministry of Finance failed to pay %2 cut from cost of living adjustments and the platform was prepared to file a legal complaint for Ministry of Finance.

In a public protest in front of the Ministry of Finance building on Wednesday, Chairperson of Platform Guven Bengihan stated that despite the Courts’ decision to grant a motion for stay of execution, Ministry of Finance has failed to pay the cuts.

Arguing that UBP-HP coalition has pursuing policies that will lead Turkish Cypriot community to the end, Trade Union Platform declared that their struggle to protect the rights' of workers and public will carry on.

General Secretary of Turkish Cypriot Teachers’ Union and representative of Platform Sener Elcil also has announced that unions have adopted a course of actions against the financial protocol signed with the authorities of Turkey and accused UBP-HP coalition as acting like a beggar.
