What the papers say Nov 1In the news reports published in Turkish Cypriot press on Friday, Yeniduzen newspaper carried out the funeral ceremony of Pilot Serkan Ozcezarli who lost his life in the training place crash on Tuesday. With the headline “Sky and Earth Shed Tears” paper has reflected the deep sadness in the ceremony that held on Thursday.

In the news reports published in Turkish Cypriot press on Friday, Yeniduzen newspaper carried out the funeral ceremony of Pilot Serkan Ozcezarli who lost his life in the training place crash on Tuesday. With the headline “Sky and Earth Shed Tears” paper has reflected the deep sadness in the ceremony that held on Thursday.

A mistake of the state officials that resulted around 86 million TL damage to state budget took place with the headline “Poor State of us damaged 86 Million TL”  in Kibris newspaper front page on Friday. Criticizing the apath of the officials on their responsibilities, paper has stated that the cost of rebuilding a hangar at Ercan airport doubled due to the carelesness of the officials.

The accident occured on Thursday that left a 4 and half years old heavily wounded in Demirhan highlighted with the headline “Gross negligence, Terrible Result” in Havadis newspapers front page. Providing information about the terrible accident, paper also gave place the statements of witnesses in their front page.

In Kibris Postasi newspaper front page, the readers came across with the interview conducted with Republican Turkish Party (CTP) General Secretary Erdogan Sorakin. With the headline “The tolerance of Turkish Cypriots decreasing due to the chronical unsolved problems”, paper highlighted Mr. Sorakins’ remarks on the political unrest in Cyprus talks.
