The representatives of Cyprus Turkish Civil Servants Treade Union (KTAMS) staged a protest against Ministery of Health on the basis of “anti-democratic” decision taken by Minister of Health Pilli in Mağusa State Hospital.

In a public announcement delivered by the Chairman Guven Bengihan during the protest, it was argued that the coaliton government appointed Deputy Chief doctor in Mağusa Hospital instead of violating the rights of doctor Dr. Nil Ergün who was an acting Chief Doctor since January at the hospital.

Chairman Bengihan argued that the decision of coalition government to appoint another Chief doctor was clearly violating the authority of Public Services Commision. Accusing Minister of Health Ali Pilli to act against the existent laws, Bengihan stated that Minister Pilli has launched an investigation for Dr. Ergün after her criticisms on his decision published in social media.

Criticising the investigation decision of Minister Pilli that aimed to issue a temporary suspencion for Dr. Ergün, Mr. Bengihan stressed that the dispute should be resolved in accordance of the existent laws as well as mutual understanding.
