Minister of Health Ali Pilli rejected the criticisms of Cyprus Turkish Civil Servants Trade Union (KTAMS) on “anti-democratic decision” claim in relation with the appointment of Chief Doctor in Mağusa State Hospital.

Providing information about the subject that caused the protest of KTAMS, Minister Pilli argued that it was not possible to accept the incorrect criticism and accusations of the Union which based on completely one-sided information.

In a written response letter published on Friday, Minister of Healt Ali Pilli clarified that Dr. Nil Ergün has rejected work in Inpatient Treatment Service in Mağusa with an appointment issued by the coalition government and her improper acts and attitudes have been reported several times to the Ministry of Health.

In addition, Minister Pilli pointed out that Dr. Nil Ergun has used insulting and humiliating expression for him in her posts in social media. Mr. Pilli added that Dr. Ergun also tried to gain unearned income from the state by signing attendance shit while she was not working.

After the clarifications on the issue, Minister of Health Ali Pilli warned the representatives of KTAMS that their protest meant to defend an unfair person. Mr. Pilli also reminded that the main responsibility of the union was to protect the rights of their members not defending the unfair claims of the workers.
