In the news reports of Turkish Cypriot press on Monday, the interview conducted with Minister of Finance on economic protocol signed with Turkey has been highlighted in the headline of Kibris Postasi. With the title “The budget is not an illusion” paper informed their readers that the last official document already submitted in regards to actualization of 1 Billion 440 Million TL transfer from Turkey as part of the economic protocol.
In Yeniduzen newspaper front page, the title “Penalties and supervision must be increased” touched upon the legal procedures on accidents with deaths. Pointing out to the insufficient legal penalties on the accidents, paper underlined the expert opinions on the issue.
In relation with the value loss of Turkish Lira, Havadis newspaper preffered to explore the comparision of prices between Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities. Papers’ “Prices were balanced” title informed the readers that after the value loss of Turkish Lira, the prices on the shops in both communities are almost balanced.
With the headline “Calling out the Disaster”, Kibris newspaper highlighted the danger of floods in their first page. Giving voice to the officials on the proceedings on preventive measures for flood, paper reflected experts views that even the preventive measures had been taken, many areas are still under the treat of floods.In Yeni Bakis newspaper front page, the claim of fraud for Altinbas family has been put to the front by the paper. Using the headline “Altinbas Network has been busted”, paper focused on the case of forgery in relation with the members of Altinbas family who has the important inverstments in N. Cyprus and Turkey.
