Former Prime Minister and former president of the assembly Sibel Siber responded the question concerning her potential candidacy in presidential election.

Speaking to Kibris Postasi TV in an interview, former PM Siber expressed that she was waiting for the finalization of the efforts in terms of being able to announce her candidacy.

I believe the seat of presidency is an honourable position. I dont reject this honourable position however there is a need for an evaluation in respect to be ready to run for this honourable duty Siber said.

Highlighting her wish to initially be listenthe projects and remarks of the potential candidates, Siber said Initially I want to listen the remarks of the candidates. I would like to evaluate if any candidate gives me confidence that he or she will fulfil the all requirement of the seat rightfully.

Former PM Sibel Siber also added that she imagine a more active, politically strong, inclusive and conciliator president in the Presidential palace.

I am imagining much more inclusive president particularly on the relationships between presidency and society, presidency and parliament as well as with civil society Siber stated.
