UBP to determine Presidential candidate on Jan 18

The National Unity Party’s (UBP) assembly will be convening on Saturday January 18 to decide on its presidential candidate for upcoming Presidential election.

The National Unity Party’s assembly will be convening on Saturday January 18 to decide on its presidential candidate for upcoming Presidential election.

The meeting will take place at the UBP’s building located at Atatürk Square in Lefkoşa at 2pm.

In a written statement published by Party’s Secretariat, it was stated that “The UBP is a democratic centre-right party rooted deep in the history of the Turkish Cypriot people. Its goals include protecting and defending the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriot people and the TRNC state as well as to raise the prosperity of our people. It is our responsibility to achieve a solution to the Cyprus Problem in line with our peoples’ demands.”
