Minister of Energy and Economy Hasan Taçoy countered the threat of the Greek Cypriot Administration to arrest Yavuz Vessel with a stern warning saying that the Greek Cypriot authority should come to it's senses immedietly.
Taçoy's words came right after the Greek Cypriot Administration issued a Navtex demanding the arrest of the Turkish drillship, which set sail to the area off the coast of Paphos on Thursday.
Mr Taçoy said that the Yavuz drill vessel was conducting its activities around the island on the behalf of the Turkish Cypriots and reminded the failiure of the Greek Cypriots to comply with the cooperation proposal made to them by the Turkish Cypriot side, adding that this was the reason for the growing tension in the region.
