Anastasiades confirms tripartite meeting says Greek Cypriot press
Greek language newspaper Politis claimed that Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades has confirmed to participate in a tripartite meeting to resume the Cyprus talks.
According to report published today, it is claimed that Greek Cypriot leader replied positively to UNSG Guterres offer about a tripartite meeting with Akinci.
In the meantime, the report also claimed that the possible tripartite meeting between the leaders would be held in Paris during the Peace Summit on November 12-13.
Emphasizing on the undefined visit of Special Advisor of UNSG Jane Holl Lute to Cyprus before the due time of potential meeting, the paper also argued that UN aims to force two leaders for a five-party conference just after the tripartite meeting.
Concerning the tripartite meeting amongst the leaders, Spokesperson of Greek Cypriot Administration Prodromos Prodromou also stated that Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiedes was also waiting for the invitation for tripartite meeting from UN side.In his statements on Sunday, Prodromou has confirmed that possible tripartite meeting would be held in a European city on the mid of November and Greek Cypriot side is completely ready to completed the terms of reference on the basis of the understanding reached on August 9 with President Mustafa Akinci.
