Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar has said that Turkey supports international law, bi-lateral agreements and friendly solutions to its problems.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2019-2020 academic year at the Flight Training School, Akar touched upon Turkeys activities in the eastern Mediterranean and Aegean.
The Fatih, the Yavuz, the Barbaros Hayrettin Paa and Oru Reis vessels are carrying out their duties in an exceptional manner. They are protecting our rights and those of the Turkish Cypriots in line with international law, he said.
Akar said that Turkeys activities in the region should not be acknowledged as a sign of weakness.
The Turkish defence minister also said that they will not allow a fait accompli in the region nor will they allow anyone to usurp the rights of Turkey or the TRNC. (BRT)
