Speaking on his journey back to Turkey from 7th Summit of the Turkic Council held in Baku, Turkish President responded to a question related with President Akinci’s statement on Turkish offensive in Syria that has drawn reactions from Turkish and Turkish Cypriot authorities.

Turkish President Erdogan instead of responsing directly to the question he quoted an earlier conversation with French President Macron.

“French President also asked my views about TRNC President Akinci’s remarks. I replied by asking since when did France recognise TRNC” Erdogan said.

In addition, Erdogan also mentioned that French President has also tried to find out the calendar and limits of Turkey regarding Syrian refugees in Turkey.

“Macron has asked me if Turkey has any calendar and red line to release Syrian refugees into Europe. I told him that the issue was still on the table and even informed him that some European representatives really wished for that” Turkish President added.
