Mirror Cabinet
fixing heavy bathroom cabinet to plasterboard wall?
I've got a heavy bathroom cabinet with mirror to an internal plasterboard wall. I was thinking of using plastic plasterboard plugs, for the two screws that hold the whole cabinet.
is this going to be strong enough?
No. If the cabinet is already heavy by itself, once you place stuff inside, it'll be even heavier. Two screws with plugs won't do the job right.
I highly suggest you find the wall stud and anchor the cabinet to that.
If there is no wall stud, then you'll need to have better anchors. The ones that work the best are Triple Grip anchors and they work in drywall very well. I have some that hold up to 204 lbs.
