How far do I have to tilt my Xbox 360 for it to scratch a loaded disc?
I've recently gotten sick of the horizontal configuration which I first set my 360 upon. I've now put it in an area that still has plenty of ventilation but for 2 reasons. The first being that it looks nicer, the second being that there are two "walls" on either side of the unit. The disk drive that I am using is the Hitachi one.
the XBOX does NOT need to be running to scratch the disc, believe me, I have an XBOX 360 and an original one. it needs to be tilted about halfway to the top and the bottom to scratch it if it is ON. if it is off and you take it to a friends house and shake it up a bit it will scratch the disc, that is if it is OFF. But you can still put it horizantal or vertical just do it without a disc in it to be on the safe side.
